How long will my results last?
LASIK Eye Surgery, and all it's subsets like Custom LASIK, LASIK for PRK, Bladeless LASIK, etc., have overwhelmingly tremendous results. Most patient begin seeing almost immediately after surgery, if not within a few days. Likewise, most patients are still raving about their results years later.
Since LASIK is a topographic correction procedure, there is little chance for the eye to reform the imperfections that caused the vision problems in the first place. As a result, most patients who undergo the LASIK vision correction procedure have near-perfect vision - sometimes better - for the rest of their lives.
An important thing to remember is that LASIK is a relatively new procedure, so these results have not been tested over decades. Some patients may experience normal aging-related vision issues later in life. However, thus far, LASIK procedures for maintenance or correction are typically few and far between. This means, should you opt to get LASIK Eye Surgery, you can probably expect very good results that will last a very long time!
